Just spent 4 lovely days at Harvey Homestead, the accommodation is comfortable, spotlessly clean with modern decor, beautiful linen and cottages are fully equipped with everything you need, the gardens are just lovely and it’s so nice to wake to the sound of birds singing. Sonia is a fabulous host and nothing is too much trouble for her.
We had the most wonderful stay over Christmas & New Year; almost 12 months in the planning and Sonia made one aspect of our Big Trip so easy. From initial email communication Sonia was lovely, keeping regularly in contact in the run up to our arrival and helping with plans for key etc.
The Homestead is a dream! Admittedly we had come from the UK and left -4°C and arrived to sunshine but the accommodation has everything you need and we made it our home from home and base while we enjoyed WA, it always felt like we’d retuned home when we’d been away a few days!
The biscotti, Christmas card and presents were an added bonus and I use my t-towel regularly!
Perfect location for us, we had the most amazing holiday with family just down the road and we can’t wait to return to Harvey Homestead!
Stayed for 3 nights in the cottage with our children both under 6. It was lovely and peaceful, very clean and private. Great grass area for the kids to run around on, so be sure to take some ball games down. Also a perfect veranda to simply relax with a wine for adults. Interactions with the owners were lovely! If you haven’t been to Harvey, this place is nice and close to some main attractions such as the big Orange, Stirling cottage, Harvey Dam and Wokalup Pub. Lovely little place to get away with the family.
We just spent the night in one of the cottages and it was fantastic. The cottage was so clean and had all we needed, the beds were amazingly comfortable and to wake up to that view was so nice. Thank you so much Sonia and family for your wonderful hospitality and will be back for sure 😊❤️
My mum, sister and I stayed at the new addition to the homestead whilst we were in Harvey for a wedding, and absolutely love it! The cottage was so beautiful furnished and it had everything we could think of! There was even milk in the fridge and tea bags in the cupboard! We were so touched by this thoughtful gesture. Sonia and Per were so accommodating our whole trip and we couldn’t recommend them highly enough! Would definitely come back! Thank you Sonia and Per xx
Sonia & Pers are amazing people and fabulous hosts. The Chalets & Cottage are simply stunning. They have been set up as if Sonia herself thought “what would I want in a place, if I was going to stay here?”.
The kitchen is completely setup for cooking! Completely! There are pots, pans, all the utensils you need, stove & oven, fridge & freezer. Nothing has been left out when Sonia & Pers set the places up.
The beds are amazing. Air conditioning through out. Even a wood stove for those cold winter nights.
For privacy there are ‘green’ walls to separate each Chalet & cottage, that are made up of some of the most beautiful flowering trees & shrubs.
There are cows to feed, wild birds everywhere and best of all, even though its less than 3mins drive to the town centre, its peaceful and quiet, plus with no ambient street or building lights around, the night sky is clear and you can see what seems like all the stars….
We cannot recommend staying here enough.
Do yourself a favour and stay here, you will NOT regret it.
Rented the Cottage for older couple, they loved it and found the cottage extremely comfortable, spotlessly clean and very peaceful. Sonia is a great host, helpful and accommodating. Highly recommend this place to stay for one night or extended stay – there is everything you need for both.
Best mini family weekend away! We stayed in the cottage and we all LOVED the design of it. It feels so homely while extremely practical. The home made biscuits were tasty too! Wish we could stay longer, I’m dreading going home now lol.

We enjoyed our overnight stay in the lovely new fully self-contained chalet. Shame we had to leave so early to attend the Australia Day function – breakfast on the veranda would have been lovely! Thank you Sonia for accommodating us at short notice – next time we will have to stay longer.
We had a wonderful stay at Harvey Homestead. It was sparkling clean and had all the amenities you would require for self catering. Sonia was an absolute delight to deal with. We would thoroughly recommend a stay here while touring the area.

The accomodation was flawless and perfect in every way !
The property was amazing, the kids had an absolute ball with the amount of land to play on and enjoyed meeting the cows. Sonia is so friendly and accommodating and the welcoming plate of biscuits was just the start of a perfect getaway.

We made a very last minute booking with Sonia for a nights stay. She was very friendly and accommodating. We stayed in the chalet as a family of 4. The accommodation was great and I wished we had more time to take in the surrounds. The chalet was very clean and bright. It sounds silly but we love the little things such as high-quality toilet paper and fresh smelling tea towels. And it got a big tick for being very spacious and well appointed. I would highly recommend staying at Harvey Homestead Accommodation and will be back next time we are in the area. Thanks Sonia 😊

Awesome place. So clean and well equipped. The linen and towels are so fluffy and white. Sonia is a great host, even giving us a ride to the function in town. We will be back.

Absolutely amazing place to stay beautiful gardens for wedding photos just a gorgeous place all round.
Spent 2 nights here on a work trip and what can I say? Sensational. Very spacious chalets/house etc, full kitchens with every item you could possibly need, place is so clean you could eat off the floor. Had a fireplace stocked with timber, the town has a Super IGA, Recreation Centre with gym, dining and all the necessities you could need. Best part is it is RIDICULOUSLY well priced. Hosts are nothing but helpful and will go more than our of their way to help. 5 stars all the way!!!
Sonia thank you so much for all your help. We rented three cottages for the weekend to house our wedding party and close friends, and used the main homestead to get ready for the bridal party. Such a gorgeous place to get ready. Thank you Son!

We had a lovely stay at Harvey Homestead. Thank you Sonia for warming the cabin with the beautiful fire and also for yummy homemade biscuits. Main bedroom was so comfy and the surroundings were beautiful. Wish we could have stayed longer.

When we saw the “Harvey Homestead” we just knew we had to stay here! We all had a wonderful last minute stay while traveling WA. Loved everything about it. Stayed here for the weekend for a pre-wedding photoshoot, and couldn’t of been happier with our choice of accommodation. We were very pleasantly surprised at how the Homestead was decorated inside, having a lovely vintage feel to it. The garden and scenery outside were all so picturesque, we ended up using them in the majority of our photos. Sonia was an absolute pleasure to deal with, making us feel incredibly welcome as soon as we arrived. Thank you so much!
We had the loveliest long weekend in Harvey and the homestead was charming. The kids love the huge garden and feeding the steers. Well equipped, comfy beds, super sweet and friendly host in Sonia.
I stayed here for 3 nights in the chalet and it was fantastic. The chalet was immaculately clean and beautifully furnished. But what really made it special was the small touches which Sonia must have put a lot of thought into. Sonia was so helpful and accommodating when I changed my plans last minute. I cannot fault the entire experience. Don’t pass through Harvey, stay here! The town and its people are fantastic!
I have dealt with Sonia from Harvey Homestead on a professional basis when our employees stayed and now finally on a personal level when I had opportunity to stay at Harvey Homestead for myself. I can never fault the customer service from Sonia. I stayed in the new 2 bedroom chalet and felt right at home, comfy bed and fully equipped.
New chalet is neat as a pin, spotless and has all the amenities you need. Our little boy enjoyed watching the cows as they grazed near the fence.

A great stay at the neat and tidy cottage. The place was very nice and clean. Bed was comfy and we had all the things we needed. Well located, close to everything. On arrival there was chocolates and delicious homemade biscuits. Had an awesome time and we’ll be planning our next trip soon. Thank you Sonia and Per!
Our family of 6 adults stayed here for a weekend wedding located in Harvey hills. The accomodation was clean, comfortable and very warm as it was a cold weekend. Sonia was a perfect host, going out of her way to fulfil our requests. The showers are fantastic, beds very comfortable with lovely linen. Highly recommend.
I recently stayed at the Cottage while working in Harvey for a week. When you work away as much as I do, you come to appreciate the amenties that the Cottage has to offer like a fully equipped kitchen including a stove and oven, washing machine, and what is easily one of the comfiest beds I’ve ever slept on. The Harvey Homestead Cottage is such a beautiful place to stay with everything you could ask for and more. I’d definitely stay there again in a heartbeat!
I just love this place. It’s my second week and I can’t get enough of it. The accommodation is gorgeous and quaint. Very well kept. The scenery is to die for and the tranquility is hard to find. To top it all up, Sonia and Per are such beautiful people.
Rented the the cottage for a couple of nites…comfort plus ..wasn’t expecting it to be as cosy as it was sooo loved it….if coming to Harvey it is a must stay place.
Pleasant self contained accommodation. A few extra touches like tea, sachets of vegemite, butter etc and extra towels and it would have been fantastic. Sleeping arrangements were very comfortable. Nice to find somewhere with great mattresses. Makes a big difference when travelling. Over all would visit again. Thinking of organising a girly weekend!!! Thank you.
